About Us

Special Thinkers Tutoring provides academic tutoring services for children and young adults with special needs. We believe that the input we receive from our parents is the most important information we can use to develop an individualized tutoring curriculum for your child and their unique learning needs. Our tutors have experience with children of all ages and in many subject areas from pre- reading and pre -math to college level courses. Our office was designed to be a safe and fun learning environment that promotes success and progress. Each of our tutors has a degree in education as well as extensive experience in the field of behavioral science. Our tutors have worked with children and young adults with a variety of special needs including Autism, Down Syndrome and ADHD. We believe in the abilities of our students and celebrate their success!

Directors

Emily Pollack, BA

Emily earned her BA in Education and worked for many years in the field as a behavior therapsit for regional center vendored agencies. She also worked directly with students in the special education department with CVUSD. Her passion and care for each of her students is what makes her stand out as a one on one tutor and is evidenced by the great progress made by all of her students.
